Kilauea 2010
Lava flows from Kilauea inundating the eastern part of the flow field near Kalapana. 26-28 April 2010. The first three photos are of the viewing area at the Kalapana end of State Hwy 130. #KIL2010-4 through #KIL2010-55 were taken on the morning of 26 April 2010 where the lava slowly moves down the pali 500 feet away from the viewing area.
#KIL2010-56 through #KIL2010-100 were taken from 0100-0700 on 27 April 2010 shows the flows have advanced a few hundred feet including filling in a collapsed portion of an older lava tube. #KIL2010-101 until #KIL2010-138 were taken between 1100 27 April until 0200 28 April. The flow has advanced nearly 1000 feet taking out a forest south of the end of the state highway.
